Nature Diaries

"The chameleons were cute and petite. I found their way of sleeping very funny, some were hanging on for dear life so tightly at the edge of leaves and branches that they were very amusing to watch. I thought it would take us a lot of luck to find and meet small chameleons, but they seemed like they were everywhere! And to think it was only about 100m stretch of forest along the car road, the density of wildlife was amazing!"

"Although only 10% of forests are remaining in the Madagascar, the efforts of people that are passionate with the nature are so important to the remaining wildlife in this place! This is also true in Hong Kong. With rapid development, conservation work is becoming more important and difficult. The messages gained from this trip are so crucial for educating the public and spreading the significance of conservation in our place."

"I have no idea when or whether I will be on this island again, but I will never forget how I was touched by the animals and plants here and how I was upset by those used to be here. I will never forget when I gazed at the horizon all the way from one national park to another, I was thinking of the 90% primary forest sacrificed for massive development since human settlement. Sustaining the lives of both human and wildlife is how important the function of a healthy forest is. I hope my other dream – harmony between human and nature – will also come true soon."
