Male, The University of Hong Kong

At this moment, I feel very happy with this exchange. From the first day of the trip, I found  that China has changed a   lot from a  rather closed country to an open and wonderful place. It is because there are a lot of mainland university students working for the conservation  of the nature. They are sophisticated with plenty skills that are useful in fieldwork. This has changed my view    to mainland students.

For  the trip schedule, it was full of obstacles  due to the arrival of typhoon. However, KFBG staff & Dr.  Hau had arranged well for the plantation activities. I  suppose we can do more      on plantation! The staff  in this nature    reserve are very nice with much knowledge. Especially for Mr. Chan in
identification of plants, students learned  new  things from him. Yet, he ran too quickly that we couldn’t follow him.I suppose this was not his fault, but it was a kind of practice. Being an environmentalist, we need to have a quick pace.

Participating in different activities, I found that my view of different ecological view has been changed. I    will try to learn more different creatures  apart from plants. Frogs and butterflies  are also wonderful creatures in the world. Learning with mainland students, I can feel their enthusiasm on conservation of the nature. They come    from  different faculties, but they were  willing to take part in all kinds of  activities. They are also considerate that they help us a lot. We
can understand  that  the original  arrangement for this trip has changed    a lot due to a typhoon. But the way of     noticing students on time schedule    can be improved. To conclude, it is a      valuable chance for us. Thanks to  all      helpers  and  participants again!
